Jean received her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1989. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, cum laude, from Illinois State University, earned in 1985. Prior to joining German Burnette & Associates in 2009, Jean served as senior in-house employment counsel at the University of New Mexico. In that role, she managed a broad range of employment-related legal issues for a large public institution. She also gained valuable litigation experience in private practice, advising both public and private sector clients.
Jean M. Bannon is known for her skill in resolving disputes through alternative means. She has served as an arbitrator and participated in numerous mediations and federal settlement conferences. In addition, she provides employment law training for management and is a frequently invited speaker at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities conferences.
Licensed to practice in New Mexico and admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, Ms. Bannon brings a practical, client-focused approach to every case.
