Jason Zuckerman is a nationally recognized authority in whistleblower law, known for securing major outcomes in whistleblower retaliation and reward cases. With deep expertise in Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank provisions, he has helped clients expose fraud, protect their rights, and obtain compensation. His advocacy has led to significant awards and systemic reforms.
Jason earned his Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University in 1996, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2000, where he was Articles Editor for the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology and received the Pro Bono Award for service to vulnerable communities.
Jason’s extensive experience includes representing whistleblowers in qui tam suits exposing Medicare fraud, off-label marketing, and other government contract abuses. His efforts have led to substantial SEC whistleblower awards and impactful precedents under federal whistleblower protection statutes. His work is featured in major publications, including Crisis of Conscience.
Jason served as Senior Legal Advisor at the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, overseeing federal whistleblower cases and contributing to the implementation of the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act. He also served on the Department of Labor’s Whistleblower Protection Advisory Committee, providing regulatory guidance and reform proposals.
Jason has written and co-authored leading treatises and amicus briefs shaping whistleblower law. His insights have been cited in federal decisions, academic research, and Congressional testimony. He is regularly invited to speak on whistleblower protections and has trained officials in over 30 countries on anti-retaliation frameworks.
