Jason P. Amala is a highly respected trial attorney committed to representing individuals and businesses harmed by others. His practice focuses on advocating for survivors of childhood sexual abuse, as well as handling complex civil rights, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and product liability cases. Known for taking on challenging litigation, he has successfully fought against powerful institutions and insurance companies.

Mr. Amala’s legal foundation is built on a distinguished academic background. He earned his Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law in 2005, graduating summa cum laude and second in his class. During law school, he was honored with the Faculty Scholar Award and was a member of the Order of the Barristers. Before law school, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Society and Justice with Honors and Distinction from the University of Washington Honors College.

Admitted to practice in Washington, New York, and California, Mr. Amala has represented hundreds of abuse survivors in cases against the Archdiocese of Seattle, the Boy Scouts of America, the Mormon Church, Backpage.com, and other institutions. His work led to the shutdown of Backpage.com, the largest online source of child sex trafficking, and he was featured in the documentary I Am Jane Doe for his role in the case.

Mr. Amala partners with leading law firms across the country to navigate changing statutes of limitations for abuse survivors. His appellate advocacy has expanded survivor rights and helped shape landmark legal precedents. Consistently recognized as a Super Lawyer and Rising Star for over a decade, he holds Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV Preeminent rating and has been honored among the Best Lawyers in America.
