About
Jason A. Bowman is the president and lead attorney of Bowman Legal in Louisville, where he focuses on Kentucky family law and appellate matters. His practice includes divorce, child custody, domestic relations disputes, and appeals arising from family court decisions. He represents clients in trial-level family matters and before Kentucky appellate courts, helping individuals address disputes that require careful factual development, preservation of legal issues, and persuasive written and oral advocacy.
Bowman earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Louisville in 2000 and a J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2004. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2004 and the Kentucky Bar Association in 2005. He also completed training through the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. His education and trial training support a family law practice that includes complex litigation and appellate review.
Bowman has represented hundreds of Kentucky families in divorce, custody, and appellate proceedings. His current firm materials report successful arguments before the Kentucky Court of Appeals and the Kentucky Supreme Court. He has handled matters requiring review of family-court rulings, development of appellate strategy, and presentation of legal arguments on issues affecting parents and children. His work combines day-to-day domestic relations practice with experience challenging or defending decisions on appeal.
Jason A. Bowman is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has held leadership roles in family law sections of Kentucky and Louisville bar organizations. His background in trial advocacy and appellate practice gives clients continuity when a family dispute moves from the trial court to appellate review. He focuses on preparing family law cases carefully, explaining available options, and presenting legal arguments in a structured and practical manner.
