Jarrel L. Wigger is an experienced trial attorney whose career reflects decades of service, leadership, and advocacy. Born in Wiesbaden, West Germany, in 1963 and raised in Anderson, South Carolina, he built a strong foundation of discipline and commitment early in life. His legal practice spans a broad range of matters, including Motor Vehicle Law, Workers’ Compensation Law, Employment Law, Products Liability Law, Wrongful Death, Social Security Disability, Premise Liability Law, Professional Negligence, Corporations, and Wills and Trusts.

Jarrel earned a Bachelor of Arts, English from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina. While attending The Citadel, he lettered four years in wrestling, held cadet rank, and served on the training cadre for two years. He later earned his Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Law, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In 1988, he was admitted to the South Carolina Bar and later gained admission to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces in 1991, the U.S. Federal District Court in 1992, the U.S. Supreme Court in 1996, and the U.S. Court of Appeals 4th Circuit in 2002.

Jarrel served as a Navy Lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps from 1988 to 1992. During that time, he participated in Desert Shield and the Panamanian action while handling legal matters in Bahrain, Panama, Puerto Rico, and Cuba. His litigation experience extends throughout South Carolina and across 28 states, giving him a broad perspective on complex legal disputes.

Jarrel has earned recognition throughout his career, including Super Lawyers, Who’s Who in American Law, and membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is also a Certified Instructor – NITA National Institute of Trial Advocacy. His military honors include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Expert Pistol Medal, and Expert Rifle Medal.

Jarrel L. Wigger remains active in professional and community organizations. He has served with the Workers’ Compensation Claimant’s Attorneys Association, the American Association for Justice, and the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association. Beyond the legal profession, he has dedicated significant time to youth wrestling, charitable foundations, and educational initiatives, reflecting a long-standing commitment to service, leadership, and excellence both inside and outside the courtroom.
