Janeen Vilven-Doggett

Janeen Vilven-Doggett, Ph.D., is a partner at Peacock Law P.C. in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she focuses her legal practice on patent prosecution, intellectual property litigation, and FDA regulatory counseling. She brings a strong scientific background and legal skills to her work in biotechnology, medical devices, nanotechnology, computer science, and pharmaceutical technologies. As a Registered Patent Attorney and active member of the firm’s litigation and dental practice groups, Vilven-Doggett advises clients on patent strategy, licensing, trademarks, and compliance with FDA regulations concerning product labeling and pharmaceutical applications.

Vilven-Doggett earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2001. She holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (1997) and a B.A. in Biology from Baylor University (1986). She is licensed to practice in New Mexico, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Before joining Peacock Law P.C., Vilven-Doggett worked at several intellectual property firms and university legal offices, handling matters such as licensing, patent audits, copyright, commercialization strategy, and export compliance. She also brings research experience from her years as a graduate student and postdoctoral fellow at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, where she led biomedical projects involving fluorescent ligand-receptor interactions and chemokine receptor characterization.

Janeen Vilven-Doggett is consistently recognized in Best Lawyers in America for Biotechnology Law and has received numerous awards, including the Ethics in Business Award and Who’s Who in Technology honors.
