James S. Swiderski is a Wisconsin partner whose practice focuses on business and corporate law, real estate, employment law, intellectual property, and litigation. James earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin School of Law in 1999. He earned his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1992, majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. He also attended Marquette University High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before beginning his college studies and professional legal career goals.
James represents businesses in merger and acquisition transactions by preparing and negotiating asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, and related documents. He also provides trademark support by advising and assisting companies in filing trademark registration applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to protect intellectual property and drive business growth.
James’s real estate practice includes commercial and residential sales and leases, as well as representation of condominium associations. He assists businesses with buying, selling, and leasing commercial properties. He also helps individuals with residential real estate purchases, title insurance matters, inspections, testing issues, closing concerns, Offers to Purchase documents, and related records issues.
James’s employment law practice includes representing businesses and individuals in the preparation, negotiation, and review of employment, severance, and noncompetition agreements. He also advises businesses on employee issues. He is admitted in Wisconsin and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, supporting his litigation work in court as needed.
James S. Swiderski also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Law, where he teaches a business law course in the Lawyering Skills program.
