James Roswold

James Roswold is the founding attorney of Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys, with a legal career spanning over three decades. Since beginning his practice in 1990, he has represented thousands of clients in personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and workers’ compensation cases across Missouri and Kansas. Known for his direct approach and detailed case knowledge, James is committed to providing personalized, client-focused service and pursuing maximum compensation for injury victims.

James earned his J.D. with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1990. He holds a B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.

Before founding his own firm, James began his career at a defense litigation firm, where he handled complex personal injury, FELA, asbestos, and insurance cases. This early experience gave him insight into how insurance companies build their defenses—an advantage he now uses to strengthen his clients’ claims. Since shifting to plaintiff representation in the mid-1990s, he has secured numerous significant settlements and verdicts, including recognition in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. His work was also acknowledged with a Record Recovery Award by Missouri Lawyers Weekly.
