James R. Rosen

James R. Rosen is a seasoned trial and appellate lawyer recognized for handling complex, high-value disputes with precision and strategic focus. James began his academic path at the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Arts in American History (1979), where he developed strong analytical and research skills. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles (1985) and served as Editor of the Loyola Entertainment Law Journal, reflecting early leadership and legal scholarship.

James has achieved more than $100 million in total plaintiffs’ verdicts and settlements while maintaining an undefeated record in jury trials on the defense side. He served as lead trial counsel in a landmark legal malpractice and fraud case that resulted in a $38.5 million jury verdict for Billy Blanks, Gayle Blanks, and BG Star Productions, Inc.

James was a key member of the trial team that secured a unanimous $62,054,745 verdict against a former employee who misused confidential information to form a competing business. This result became the largest Business Litigation Jury Verdict in the State of California in 2023, reflecting disciplined trial execution and teamwork.

James has received numerous distinctions recognizing ethics, skill, and leadership.
