About
Jahna Lindemuth is a partner at Cashion Gilmore & Lindemuth who helps clients resolve complex legal issues through negotiation, litigation, administrative advocacy, and policy work. Lindemuth handles complex commercial litigation and appeals, consumer protection, corporate governance and fiduciary duty issues, government investigations, natural resources and administrative law, and strategic governmental affairs. Her practice draws on experience as a trial lawyer, appellate advocate, and former Attorney General of Alaska.
Lindemuth earned a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley in 1997, where she was Order of the Coif, and a Bachelor of Arts from Drew University in 1991, graduating summa cum laude. She clerked for Justice Robert Eastaugh of the Alaska Supreme Court in 1997-98. Her education and clerkship provided a strong foundation for appellate analysis and complex litigation, while later public service expanded her experience with statewide legal policy and government decision-making.
Lindemuth served as Alaska’s Attorney General from August 2016 to December 2018, representing the state on legal matters and participating in national attorney general organizations. In private practice, she has handled commercial disputes involving consumer protection, antitrust, securities litigation, professional malpractice, corporate governance, fraud, fiduciary duties, and oil and gas issues. She has also handled more than thirty appellate cases before the Alaska Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and United States Supreme Court.
Jahna Lindemuth combines private litigation experience with senior public-sector leadership and a strong commitment to pro bono service. Lindemuth has worked with the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and the Alaska Innocence Project, including work connected to the exoneration of the Fairbanks Four. Her background helps clients navigate disputes and investigations that may involve courts, regulators, public policy, and reputational concerns, while keeping attention on practical options for resolving complex legal problems.
