About
Jacqueline M. Sparagna is a skilled criminal defense attorney who works hard to protect her clients’ rights. She focuses on resolving legal issues early whenever possible, but she is fully prepared to go to trial when needed. Jacqueline starts her defense by conducting her own investigation to find problems in the prosecution’s case. This helps her try to stop charges from being filed at all. If charges are filed, she explores all options. She may argue to suppress key evidence, send a mitigation package to seek a favorable plea deal, or take the case to trial to fight for her client’s best outcome.
Jacqueline earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2016. She also holds a B.S. from the USC Marshall School of Business, which she completed in 2012.
Before joining Werksman Jackson & Quinn LLP, Jacqueline Sparagna practiced civil litigation in Pasadena, California, for three years. During that time, she defended the City of Los Angeles. Her efforts led to several cases being dismissed early in the process, showing her ability to find and use legal strategies that help her clients.
While in law school, Jacqueline clerked at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in three specialized units: the Justice System Integrity Division, Crimes Against Peace Officers, and Preliminary Hearings. These roles gave her experience with both sides of the law—working with and against law enforcement. She also handled preliminary hearings, which helped her understand the entire process of criminal defense from start to finish.
Jacqueline Sparagna is licensed to practice in California (2017), the District of Columbia (2018), and the Central District of California (2019). She is active in several professional groups, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Her dedication and legal knowledge have made her a strong voice in criminal defense.
