Jacqueline Flores is the attorney behind Flores Law in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her practice focuses on criminal defense in state and federal court, including misdemeanors and serious felony charges. Jacqueline earned her law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law and was admitted to the New Mexico State Bar in 1996. Before joining the judiciary, she represented hundreds of people charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses throughout New Mexico. Her legal education and early criminal defense experience provided a foundation in trial advocacy, criminal procedure, evidence, administrative proceedings, and the practical operation of New Mexico’s courts.

In 2009, Jacqueline was appointed as a State District Judge in the Second Judicial District Court and assigned to the Criminal Division. During 11 years on the bench, she presided over 120 jury trials involving DWI, domestic violence, gang crimes, property offenses, child sexual abuse, rape, and murder. She also created the Felony Repeat Offender DWI Court. After leaving the bench in 2020, she was appointed as a State Commissioner for the Law Office of the Public Defender.
