Scot earned his B.S. in Chemistry with a Business Emphasis from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, providing a strong technical foundation for his legal career. He went on to earn his J.D., magna cum laude, from Marquette University Law School. Before beginning his legal career, Scot worked as an Inorganic Chemist for a major research company, gaining practical insights into complex technical issues. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, further developing discipline and problem-solving skills that continue to shape his practice.
