J. Douglas Baldridge

J. Douglas Baldridge is a Partner at Venable LLP in Washington, DC. He draws on decades of trial and in-house counsel experience to manage complex and significant cases. His practice includes litigation, commercial disputes, class action defense, antitrust, intellectual property litigation, privacy matters, and entertainment industry disputes.

Douglas earned his J.D., cum laude, from George Washington University Law School in 1987. He earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Florida State University in 1984. His education also includes Phi Beta Kappa and Union Board Recipient of the Outstanding Leader honor, supporting his trial and advocacy work.

Douglas has served as lead trial counsel in major antitrust matters involving class actions, reverse payment claims, merger challenges, and Sherman Act disputes. His representative matters include In re Broiler Antitrust Litigation, In re Turkey Litigation, In Re Nexium Antitrust Litigation, In re Solodyn Antitrust Litigation, and In Re Modafinil Antitrust Litigation.

Douglas has represented clients in entertainment, talent, intellectual property, real estate, commercial, shareholder, securities, and false advertising matters. His work includes matters for Taylor Swift, Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren Woods, Corbin Bernsen, Mobil Oil, Tenneco, the District of Columbia, duPont Publishing, and other business and media clients.
