Before entering private practice, Ilya externed for two esteemed judges: the Honorable D. Lowell Jensen (Ret.) of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the Honorable Ming C. Chin of the California Supreme Court. These experiences provided a strong foundation in complex legal analysis and high-level judicial processes.

Ilya began his legal career at Downey Brand LLP, representing individuals and large corporations in diverse legal matters. He later served as General Counsel for a tech company and a government agency with a $50 million annual budget, where he advised on employment and personal injury litigation. His in-house experience sharpened his insight into risk management and internal compliance strategies.
