Hunter Mullens

Hunter Mullens is a founding partner of Mullens & Mullens, PLLC and a seasoned trial lawyer serving clients across West Virginia. He represents individuals and businesses in civil litigation involving workplace and industrial injuries, coal mine and natural gas matters, and other complex disputes. Hunter also handles criminal defense cases and brings experience advocating for both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts.

Hunter earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from West Virginia University in 1994, graduating cum laude. He received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1997 and was selected for the honorary Moot Court Association. His academic and advocacy training developed a strong foundation in legal analysis, persuasive writing, courtroom strategy, and practical problem solving.

Hunter has secured favorable jury verdicts and monetary recoveries in civil cases while representing clients on both sides of disputes. His experience includes workplace and industrial injury claims, coal mine and gas well regulation and litigation, and matters affecting individuals, property owners, and businesses. He also previously served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Barbour and Taylor Counties and as City Attorney for Philippi and Grafton.

Hunter Mullens has served on the West Virginia State Bar Board of Governors and has spent more than a decade on the Board of Directors of Preston-Taylor Community Health Center. A United States Army veteran, he served in combat operations during Operation Desert Storm and received the Army Commendation Medal. His courtroom experience, public service, and broad litigation background support thoughtful, determined representation for clients facing significant legal challenges.
