Howard I. Weiss

Howard I. Weiss is a Boca Raton attorney and founding partner whose practice spans civil litigation, real estate, family law, and commercial transactions. He handles trial matters and disputes involving businesses, property, and condominium communities. His work for some of South Florida’s largest communities has included construction defect litigation that resulted in multimillion-dollar awards. He also brings experience in commercial law and matrimonial matters, giving clients counsel across disputes and important transactions.

Howard earned a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University before receiving his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. At Fordham, he served on the editorial board of the Fordham University Law Review. His legal education and writing experience laid a foundation for the research, analysis, and advocacy involved in complex litigation. He was admitted to practice in Florida and New York in 1973 and later gained admission to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Howard’s representative matters include condominium, family, and commercial disputes that reached Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal. His published cases address issues involving a condominium owners organization, marital disputes, and a boatyard, among other matters. Alongside his litigation work, he advises on real estate and commercial transactions. Howard I. Weiss has also contributed to legal and civic organizations. He served on a judicial nominating commission from 1990 to 1994 and chaired it from 1992 to 1993.
