Erin Miller Heins

Erin Miller Heins is a partner at Langrock Sperry & Wool, LLP in Burlington, Vermont. She handles commercial and construction litigation for businesses, along with family law and other lawsuits and disputes for individuals. Her practice also includes alternative dispute resolution and frequent appeals to the Vermont Supreme Court. She assists clients with matters in which commercial relationships or family circumstances shape the legal questions requiring resolution.

Erin earned a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2001 and an A.B., cum laude, from Princeton University in 1998. She is admitted to state and federal courts in Vermont and New York and to the Second Circuit. Legal training supports the interpretation of statutes and case law, while litigation requires connecting that analysis to the evidence and procedural posture of a dispute.

Erin joined Langrock Sperry & Wool, LLP in June 2005 after working at a large New York City law firm. Her earlier commercial litigation work focused particularly on antitrust and securities matters. She also co-authored the Vermont chapter of Fifty State Construction Lien and Bond Law. Her practice brings that background to commercial and construction disputes, where agreements, project responsibilities, and the parties’ respective positions must be examined carefully.
