About
Hollianne Lao is an associate with Brown Paindiris & Scott, LLP in Glastonbury and a member of the firm’s Civil Litigation Department. Her work includes contract and real estate disputes, landlord-tenant matters, probate litigation, and personal injury cases. She represents clients in civil matters where the outcome can depend on contracts, property rights, damages, court procedure, and detailed factual records. Her practice therefore spans several forms of litigation involving individuals, estates, and property-related conflicts.
Lao earned a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and completed a Certificate in Human Rights Law. She previously earned a B.A. from the University of Connecticut with studies in Political Science and Human Rights. During law school, she participated in the UConn Law Asylum and Human Rights Clinic and helped obtain an asylum grant for a pro bono client. Her education combines litigation training with sustained study of public-law and human-rights issues.
Lao’s current civil practice includes disputes arising from contracts and real estate transactions, landlord and tenant relationships, probate matters, and personal injuries. Her clinical experience in law school involved direct client representation in an immigration and human-rights setting, adding early experience with interviewing, evidence, advocacy, and administrative legal processes. She applies those skills in civil cases that require careful review of documents, disputed facts, legal claims, and potential remedies.
Hollianne Lao serves on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association and participates in the Connecticut Bar Association and Hartford County Bar Association. She is involved with the Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyers Section. Her professional activities complement a litigation practice focused on practical civil disputes. She helps clients work through contested matters involving property, contracts, estates, landlord-tenant issues, and personal injury claims with organized preparation and clear legal analysis.
