Hojae An

Hojae An is an associate in the litigation practice group, where he represents clients in intellectual property disputes across patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and arbitration matters. With experience in both U.S. and Korean practices, he advises on complex IP strategies and patent application reviews before the Korean Intellectual Property Office. His work bridges international perspectives, providing clients with practical solutions in technology-driven industries.

Hojae earned his LL.M. from Georgia State University College of Law, focusing on intellectual property, including coursework in patent, copyright, trademark, and entertainment law. He also holds a J.D. and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Yonsei University. His engineering background, coupled with legal training, allows him to effectively address technical challenges in litigation and patent prosecution. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Throughout his career, Hojae has been involved in high-profile matters, including a $10 million tort case concerning metallic corrosion and gas turbine dynamics. He has also served as a legal consultant to insurance companies on technical disputes related to gas quality and drainage engineering. His broad experience across mechanical, chemical, electrical, software, consumer product, and life sciences industries has positioned him as a trusted resource for clients navigating IP disputes and patent issues.

Active in both the U.S. and Korean legal communities, Hojae An is a member of the Georgia Asian Pacific-American Bar Association, Korean-American Bar Association in Georgia, Korean Bar Association, and the Korean Patent Attorneys Association. Fluent in Korean and English, he is also a veteran of the Korean Army, where he served two years with the 8th U.S. Army in Seoul.
