Henry G. Gereis

Henry G. Gereis, Esq., is a California criminal defense lawyer at Gereis Law who represents clients facing misdemeanor and felony charges. His studies included an interest-based approach to dispute resolution that supports his negotiation work in criminal cases.

Gereis began his career practicing family law before moving toward public defense work. He volunteered at the Santa Barbara Public Defender’s Office and later became a Deputy Public Defender with the Kern County Public Defender. His public defense experience included negotiating thousands of felony and misdemeanor plea agreements. He has litigated criminal cases involving charges ranging from DUI and receiving stolen property to domestic violence and elder abuse.
