Henry D. Kass

Henry D. Kass is a seasoned attorney at MKFM Law, LLC, where he concentrates on family law, guardianship, and criminal matters. With over two decades of legal experience, Kass has built a reputation for skilled advocacy and compassionate representation. His litigation background includes numerous jury trials and hundreds of bench trials across northern Illinois.

Henry earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2000 after completing his B.A. in Language and Linguistics at the University of Iowa. He also studied abroad at the University of the Basque Country in Spain, achieving Dean’s List honors during his academic career. His educational path set a strong foundation for his legal expertise.

Before entering private practice, Henry served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in DuPage County, where he prosecuted domestic violence and felony cases under then-State’s Attorney Joseph E. Birkett. He was recognized with a Special Commendation for his outstanding service. Kass later shared his knowledge by teaching family law at the College of DuPage for five years.

Henry is a Fellow of the Illinois Bar Foundation and a sustaining member of multiple bar associations, including the DuPage and Kane County Bar Associations. He has held leadership roles in the Illinois State Bar Association and Collaborative Divorce Illinois. His legal articles have been featured in both bar journals and community publications.
