About
Heather White is a Partner with the Federal Practice Group and focuses on federal sector employment litigation. She represents clients before the EEOC, Merit Systems Protection Board, D.C. Office of Employee Appeals, D.C. Office of Human Rights, and local and federal courts. Her work includes civil rights, anti-discrimination, personnel, and civil service matters, with particular experience guiding federal employees through administrative complaints, appeals, hearings, and related litigation.
White earned a J.D. from Tulane University Law School, an M.A. from Georgetown University, and a B.A. with Honors from The College of William and Mary. She is admitted in New York and Washington, D.C., and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Her education and multijurisdictional practice support a detailed understanding of employment statutes, agency procedures, evidentiary issues, and federal personnel systems.
White has represented federal employees in EEO complaints, MSPB appeals, federal court cases, and administrative proceedings before judges in multiple cities. Her representative matters include a seven-figure settlement in a long-running case against the Department of Education involving disability and age discrimination allegations and a six-figure settlement for a Department of Veterans Affairs employee involving reprisal, disability, and gender discrimination claims.
Heather White also contributes to the federal employment bar through teaching, speaking, and professional involvement. She has served as faculty at EEOC Annual EXCEL Conferences and as a panelist at Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association conferences. Her practice combines administrative advocacy and litigation experience to help federal employees assess deadlines, develop records, present discrimination or retaliation claims, and navigate complex personnel disputes before agencies and courts.
