Hart J. Levin

Hart J. Levin represents clients in DUI and criminal defense matters with a background shaped by civil litigation, prosecution, trial work, and mediation training. His legal career includes work on complex civil cases, large class action suits, and many criminal matters involving serious charges in Los Angeles and nearby communities.

Hart earned his Bachelor of Arts with Honors from UC Berkeley, where he graduated at the top of his class. He then earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, where he also graduated with Honors. This education helped build the strong legal foundation used throughout his career.

Hart began his career as an associate at McNicholas & McNicholas LLP, a prominent civil law firm in Westwood, CA. In that role, he worked on complex civil cases and large class action suits, gaining early experience with detailed case preparation, legal strategy, and demanding court-related matters.

Hart later served as a Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles, where he prosecuted thousands of criminal cases. His work included DUI, vehicular manslaughter, sex crimes, domestic violence, gang crimes, murder and attempted murder, weapons violations, narcotic trafficking and sales, fraud, embezzlement, arson, robbery, burglary, and hate crimes.

Hart has conducted over seven hundred preliminary hearings and handled thousands of misdemeanor cases. He has also worked on juvenile court matters and personally taken many felony and misdemeanor cases to jury trial. This courtroom experience gives him insight into how criminal cases are prepared, argued, and challenged.

Hart is a certified specialist in mediation and dispute resolution. He has also served as an on-set advisor and consultant for television dramas on the FOX Network, NBC, and Warner Bros. His legal knowledge has supported courtroom-related productions, including NBC’s courtroom drama, Outlaw.
