Harley J. Goldstein is widely regarded for his strategic leadership in business restructurings, bankruptcies, and complex financial reorganizations. He represents borrowers, creditors, committees, and stakeholders across the full spectrum of in-court and out-of-court restructuring solutions, often serving as outside general counsel for clients in diverse industries.

Goldstein earned his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1997 and received his B.A. from Arizona State University in 1994. Admitted to practice in 1998, he has since become known for pairing legal precision with business insight, enabling him to navigate some of the most high-profile corporate insolvency proceedings in the country.

Goldstein received early recognition for his legal skill, becoming the youngest honoree on the 40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch list by Law Bulletin Publishing Company. His success is further highlighted by repeated inclusion as an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star and multiple “Transaction of the Year” and “Corporate Turnaround of the Year” awards from leading restructuring associations and publications.

In addition to his legal practice, Goldstein is an accomplished speaker and author on bankruptcy law, restructuring strategy, creditors’ rights, and fraud litigation. His writings include contributions to Inside the Minds and articles in leading law journals and industry newsletters. He regularly speaks for organizations such as ALI/ABA, AICPA, and the Young Presidents’ Organization.

Harley J. Goldstein is also active in the professional and intellectual community. He served as President and General Counsel of the Commercial Finance Association’s Midwest Chapter and is a member of Mensa and YPO, reflecting his commitment to leadership and thought development in both legal and business arenas.
