Guy K. Krogh

Guy K. Krogh is the senior partner and president of Thaler & Thaler, P.C., in Ithaca, New York. His practice concentrates on municipal and governmental law and defense, administrative law, zoning and land use, and corporate and commercial transactions. He advises towns, villages, intermunicipal bodies, and private organizations on legal obligations and projects. His work addresses public administration, regulatory enforcement, and the transactions that support local government operations.

Krogh attended Kenyon College and received his law degree from Syracuse University College of Law, graduating cum laude in the top ten percent of his class. He served as Associate Editor of the Syracuse Law Review and received the Robert M. Anderson Publication Award for a law review article concerning satellite competition and federal communications policy. He was admitted to the New York State bar in 1990.

He has served as attorney for numerous municipalities in Tompkins and surrounding counties and as counsel to the Southern Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Water Commission and the Greater Tompkins County Municipal Health Insurance Consortium. His matters include zoning and code enforcement, special districts, solar and cellular tower installations, civil service concerns, and local regulations. He has also served as a special criminal prosecutor in municipal-related matters.

Guy K. Krogh is a past president of the Tompkins County Bar Association and regularly speaks to professional and government groups about municipal law, land use, and business organization. He has advised public officials and legislators on local government issues and taught code-official training. His work supports municipalities and businesses as they assess legal authority, fulfill responsibilities, and manage significant projects.
