Gregory Q. Carter is the founder of The G. Carter Law Firm, where he provides personalized and strategic representation to clients facing criminal charges. With a practice devoted exclusively to criminal defense, he is committed to ensuring that each client receives a vigorous defense and fair treatment under the law.
Gregory earned his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University, where he was an active member of the mock trial team. He later received his Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. During law school, he clerked with the Ohio Innocence Project, helping to exonerate the wrongly convicted, and gained further experience through internships with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Fredericksburg Public Defender’s Office.
In 2009, Gregory began his legal career as a public defender in New Orleans, where he represented hundreds of clients in misdemeanor and felony cases. His courtroom advocacy has extended to matters involving serious charges such as murder, narcotics, assault, and battery. In 2011, he transitioned into private practice, focusing entirely on criminal defense while continuing to build on his extensive trial experience.
Gregory Q. Carter’s professional affiliations include the Louisiana State Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Admitted to practice in Louisiana, he has earned a reputation as a skilled advocate who brings dedication, preparation, and persistence to every case. Today, he continues to defend clients throughout New Orleans with the same passion for justice that has defined his career since its beginning.
