Gina Carter is a seasoned attorney with expertise in intellectual property (IP) law, credit union law, and financial services regulation. As Of Counsel at Husch Blackwell, she provides strategic legal counsel to clients in various industries, helping businesses protect their intellectual property, navigate complex regulations, and manage legal risks. With over 25 years of experience, Gina has built a reputation for her deep understanding of client needs and her ability to provide effective legal solutions.

Gina earned her J.D. with honors from Georgetown University Law Center. She also holds a B.S., cum laude, from Georgetown University. She is admitted to practice law in Wisconsin and has represented clients in federal courts across the country.

As the head of Husch Blackwell’s Credit Union team, Gina advises credit unions on governance, mergers, vendor contracts, consumer finance, and regulatory compliance. She also represents credit union service organizations (CUSOs) in corporate structuring, data protection, and intellectual property matters. During the mortgage crisis, her legal guidance played a key role in helping financial institutions navigate challenges and remain viable.
