Gianna N. Elliot

Gianna N. Elliot is a skilled attorney who represents survivors of sexual abuse, discrimination, and exploitation. She advocates for justice by holding individuals and institutions accountable for the harm they cause or enable. Her legal work includes cases involving child sex abuse, campus sexual assault, adult sexual abuse, and child pornography (CSAM).

Gianna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from St. Joseph’s College, graduating cum laude in 2015. She received her Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2020.

Gianna previously served as a Prosecutor at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. She handled sensitive criminal cases such as domestic violence, sexual misconduct, forcible touching, and child endangerment. During her time there, she successfully litigated multiple jury and bench trials, developing deep experience in handling complex and emotionally charged matters.

Gianna also participated in the Courtroom Advocates Project and served on the Student Task Force of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Her academic honors include the New York City Trial Lawyers’ Alliance Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and multiple distinctions for her trial skills and criminal law performance.

Gianna continues to represent survivors under statutes such as the Child Victims Act, Adult Survivors Act, and Gender Motivated Violence Act, as well as in federal court under Masha’s Law. She has co-authored legal articles addressing sexual grooming and human trafficking, highlighting her commitment to advancing justice and awareness for survivors.

Gianna N. Elliot has earned numerous distinctions throughout her legal journey. Her awards include the New York City Trial Lawyers’ Alliance Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, New York Metro Super Lawyers Rising Star (2024), and Rising Star from St. Joseph’s University (2023). She also received recognition for Best Closing Argument, Excellence in Criminal Procedure, and outstanding effort in trial competitions.
