About
Ghazal Nicole Mehrani is the founder of Law Offices of Mehrani (PLLC), a boutique immigration law firm dedicated to handling all aspects of U.S. immigration law. With over a decade of experience, she represents individuals, families, professionals, and students navigating complex immigration processes. Her work is driven by a deep understanding of the challenges immigrants face and a commitment to delivering thoughtful, effective legal solutions.
Ghazal earned her Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from the University of Tehran in 2005. She later completed a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Central Florida in 2010, followed by her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in 2015.
During law school, Ghazal concentrated on immigration and family law, with a particular focus on the legal rights of women and children. She gained hands-on experience through the MSU Law Immigration Clinic and the Chance at Childhood Clinic, where she advocated for immigrants and families facing vulnerable legal circumstances.
Ghazal is highly regarded for her work in employment-based green cards, marriage-based green cards, family immigration sponsorship, waivers, LGBT-related immigration matters, and immigration court representation. She is also well known for developing creative strategies to resolve complex issues faced by international students and scholars, including SEVIS, OPT, CPT, and 212(e) waiver matters.
As an immigrant herself, Ghazal Nicole Mehrani brings cultural awareness and sensitivity to her practice. She speaks Farsi and is actively involved in the local Iranian community. Her familiarity with Iran-specific immigration challenges allows her to effectively assist clients facing heightened scrutiny, including matters involving IRGC-related concerns and 212(e) waiver issues.
