George E. Abdo, III

George E. Abdo, III is Vice-President and a shareholder at Daniel Coker Horton & Bell, P.A. in Madison, Mississippi, where his practice is devoted primarily to civil defense litigation. Abdo focuses heavily on professional liability and construction disputes and also handles governmental liability, commercial litigation, financial institutions and credit litigation, and general civil defense matters. Abdo earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1994 and a B.B.A. cum laude from the University of Mississippi in 1991. He is admitted in Mississippi and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the federal district courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi. His notable matters include obtaining a defense verdict in an alienation of affection case involving legal malpractice and winning summary judgment in a professional liability action. He has also been involved in a Mississippi Supreme Court matter that resulted in reversal and rendition of favorable summary judgment for a law firm defense client.
