About
Geoffrey M. Wardle is a partner at Clark Wardle LLP in Boise whose practice centers on real estate, commercial development, zoning, planning and land use, commercial litigation, and transportation matters. He has particular experience with land use entitlements and development projects. His work includes helping institutional and private clients navigate applications, public hearings, approvals, and disputes that can arise throughout the life cycle of a development or entitlement project.
Geoff earned a BA (Political Science) from the University of Utah in 1993 and a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1996. His education in government and law supports a practice that often operates at the intersection of private development interests and municipal decision-making. He is admitted in Idaho and Ohio and has also been admitted to practice before the Sixth and Ninth Circuits.
His experience includes serving as land use counsel to a resort community and evaluating development and entitlement applications from both applicant and municipal perspectives. Geoff regularly appears before municipal design review committees, planning and zoning commissions, and city councils. He manages entitlement matters from application through approval and, when necessary, litigation, helping clients address procedural requirements, public review, zoning concerns, and the legal issues connected to commercial development projects.
Geoffrey M. Wardle has held leadership roles with BOMA at the local and regional level and serves as Vice President of State Government Affairs for BOMA International. He was recognized by Chambers and Partners from 2005 through 2013 as one of Idaho’s leading land use attorneys. His practice combines development knowledge, public-process experience, and litigation awareness to guide clients through complex real estate and land use matters.
