Frederick R. Hovde

Frederick R. (Rick) Hovde is a founding partner of Hovde Dassow and Deets LLC, recognized as one of Indiana’s leading trial attorneys. With over 110 jury trials, he has secured million-dollar verdicts in medical malpractice, automobile accidents, construction site injuries, and product liability cases. Rick’s legal excellence is evident in his ability to obtain maximum statutory verdicts and influence appellate decisions, shaping Indiana’s legal landscape for injured plaintiffs.

Rick earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from Indiana University School of Law in 1980, following a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in 1977. Since being admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1980, he has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. His deep knowledge of tort law, insurance bad faith, and negligence litigation has positioned him as a leading advocate for injury victims.

Throughout his distinguished career, Frederick R. (Rick) Hovde has received numerous accolades, including recognition in Best Lawyers in America since 2003 and as an Indiana Super Lawyer since 2004.
