Frederick J. (“Fred”) Biel is a highly accomplished Texas attorney and partner with decades of experience in real estate, banking, and business law. Since joining his firm in 1989, he has represented individuals, corporations, financial institutions, and governmental entities in complex real property, financing, and business transactions across Texas. His clients rely on his extensive legal knowledge and strategic guidance in both commercial and agricultural sectors.
Fred, a member of the American College of Real Estate Attorneys, is triple board-certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Commercial Real Estate Law, Farm and Ranch Real Estate Law, and Residential Real Estate Law. His deep expertise and consistent excellence have earned him a reputation as one of Texas’s leading real estate practitioners.
A Central Texas native, Fred earned both his Bachelor of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Baylor University in 1973. Before entering private practice, he served as General Counsel to the Texas Department of Human Resources, County Attorney for Bee County, and Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Beeville, establishing a foundation of public service that continues throughout his career.
Fred’s commitment to the legal community is evident in his active participation in TexasBarCLE programs, where he has served as Course Director, speaker, and author for numerous real estate courses. His accolades include recognition as a Texas Super Lawyer since 2003, a Martindale-Hubbell AV® Preeminent Rating, and the Jerry Charles Saegert Award for Best CLE Paper.
Beyond his legal career, Frederick J. Biel serves as a director of C.A.M.P. University, a nonprofit supporting young adults with special needs, reflecting his dedication to both his profession and his community.
