Franklin D. Azar

Franklin D. Azar founded his firm in 1987 to help injured people seek full and fair compensation after serious harm. He is the president and owner of the practice, now the largest plaintiff-centered personal injury firm in Colorado, with offices across the state serving many local Colorado communities.

Franklin earned his B.A., cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Colorado in 1979. He earned his J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 1982. His education helped build the base for a career focused on careful preparation and steady client service today.

Franklin was formerly an Assistant District Attorney for the Third Judicial District and was the youngest attorney ever appointed to that position. He has devoted his legal career to representing the under-represented and has helped clients from all 50 states in injury, class action, and mass tort matters.

Franklin handles cases involving wage and hour violations, insurance bad faith, product liability, pharmaceutical drugs, medical devices, and other mass torts. He was appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the Multi-District litigation involving DePuy’s faulty Pinnacle hip implants, reflecting his experience in complex injury cases nationwide.

Franklin has pursued major cases involving Wal-Mart employee rights, football helmets, defective vehicles, tires, and drug or medical product claims. His work helped lead to large verdicts and settlements, including results involving missed rest and meal breaks, overtime, and claims tied to products such as Reglan, Yaz, and Vioxx.

Franklin’s firm is described as having more awards than any other law firm in Colorado. He has earned recognition as one of Colorado’s top plaintiff’s attorneys and has been named as class counsel in over 20 separate employment class actions, showing his strong record in major civil cases.

Franklin D. Azar is admitted in Colorado, Texas, several federal district courts, and the 9th and 10th Circuit Courts of Appeals. He continues to lead a firm focused on personal injury, class action, and product liability cases.
