Francis M. “Jack” Jackson is a Maine attorney with more than 30 years of experience focusing on disability law. As a founding partner of his firm, he represents clients in veterans benefits and Social Security disability claims, and personal injury. He is committed to guiding individuals who are facing serious physical and emotional challenges. Francis works to ease the stress of the claims process and strives to secure the benefits his clients need and deserve.
Francis M. Jackson earned his B.A., summa cum laude, from Bowdoin College in 1974. He received his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 1977. During law school, he served on the law review staff and was a member of the national moot court competition team. He also participated in the Mental Health Law Project in Washington, D.C., strengthening his commitment to public service and advocacy.
Francis is admitted to practice in Maine, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine. He is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives. He regularly handles appeals, including cases before federal appellate courts.
Before focusing on disability law, Francis M. Jackson practiced general civil and criminal litigation, including personal injury and employee benefits cases. He later expanded his practice to include veterans disability claims, helping former service members obtain compensation. He has been recognized for his pro bono work and remains dedicated to attentive client service, thorough preparation, and strong advocacy in every case.
