About
Forrest R. Goodrum is of counsel to Sperry Law Office, PLLC, in Boise, where he advises and assists the firm on matters ranging from commercial transactions to complex business litigation. His experience includes Business Law, Commercial Litigation, Collections, Banking & Finance, Real Estate & Project Development, Construction Law, Bankruptcy for creditors, Estate Planning and Probate, and Alternate Dispute Resolution. His practice draws on decades of work in both private practice and in-house legal leadership.
Forrest earned a B.S. from the University of North Carolina in 1968 and a J.D. from Rutgers Law School in 1971, where he participated in the Rutgers Law Review. His legal education was followed by a long career involving litigation, real estate development, construction, banking, and business matters. That background provides a broad foundation for evaluating transactions, financial relationships, project risks, and disputes that can arise during business operations and development work.
Before moving to Idaho, Forrest practiced in New Jersey and served as Vice President and General Counsel of Lincoln Federal Savings and Loan Association. He later worked in private practice on civil litigation, banking, business, real estate, development, and construction matters. After admission to the Idaho Bar in 1992, he served briefly as Assistant Counsel to the Idaho Department of Law Enforcement and then practiced for many years with Munther Goodrum Sperry and its predecessors.
Forrest R. Goodrum has also contributed to professional education and legal writing on arbitration, real estate, liens, limited liability companies, lending, and land-use issues. He has served as a commercial and construction panel arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association and has held leadership roles connected to real property law. His long record combines transactional, litigation, financial, construction, and dispute-resolution experience for clients facing complex business and property matters.
