Fernando C. Alonso is a partner based in Miami and New York and serves as head of the firm’s Latin America practice group. With more than 30 years of experience, he advises public and private companies, financial institutions, and private equity firms on corporate, securities, banking, and infrastructure matters. He focuses on complex US and cross-border transactions involving Latin America and the United States, delivering practical and strategic guidance.

Fernando earned his JD from Yale Law School and his BA in History, summa cum laude, from Yale University. His academic background reflects strong analytical training and a solid foundation in legal and business strategy. He began his legal career as a judicial clerk for the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, where he developed insight into federal court practice and judicial decision-making.
