Everett Jack Jr.

Everett Jack Jr., commonly known as EJ, is a seasoned trial attorney and partner at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. He focuses his practice on litigation and risk management, with particular strength in complex commercial disputes, director and officer (D&O) defense, employment litigation, and insurance coverage matters. With over 25 years of experience, Jack has successfully litigated and arbitrated more than 50 cases to verdict or decision, serving clients across a broad range of industries and jurisdictions.

Jack holds a J.D. from South Texas College of Law (1989), where he was honored with Order of the Lytae recognition, and a B.B.A., cum laude, from the University of Portland (1986). His dual-office presence in New York and Portland allows him to serve clients nationwide. He is licensed to practice in California, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Texas, and has handled cases pro hac vice in multiple additional states.

Jack is widely respected for his ability to navigate factually dense and technically challenging litigation. His track record includes representing corporate executives and insurers such as Travelers, AIG, Zurich, and Genworth Financial. His clients rely on him not only for aggressive courtroom representation but also for strategic advice on underwriting, corporate governance, and compliance matters.

In addition to his litigation work, Everett Jack Jr. serves as Vice Chair of the firm’s litigation department and is a member of its Executive and Strategic Growth Committees.
