About
Evan Hoffman has built a legal career centered on protecting individual rights across Florida. His work reflects years of courtroom experience gained through handling complex criminal matters. He approaches each case with focus, preparation, and a clear understanding of how criminal cases develop from arrest through trial.
Evan developed his legal foundation through formal education that emphasized public service and legal analysis. He earned a B.S. in Political Science in 1995 from Florida State University. He later completed a J.D. in 1998 from Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law Center, building skills essential for criminal litigation practice readiness.
Evan began his career as an Assistant State Prosecutor in Broward County, where he handled misdemeanor and felony cases. His work included battery, controlled substance offenses, and DUI matters. During this period, he tried over 100 jury cases and more than 120 non-jury cases to verdict.
Evan transitioned into criminal defense to apply his knowledge of prosecutorial strategies for the benefit of the accused. He carefully analyzes evidence, procedure, and constitutional issues to challenge the government’s case. This approach allows him to build strong defenses for clients facing serious criminal allegations.
Evan gained statewide attention after identifying a critical error in a breath test machine used in DUI prosecutions. His findings led to charges being dropped for his client and revealed that more than 50 individuals were wrongly convicted. The issue was later covered by Channel 10 Eyewitness News.
Evan represents clients in a wide range of criminal matters, including Federal Crimes, DUI, Domestic Violence, Drug Crimes, and Criminal Appeals. His work has earned professional recognition, including Martindale-Hubbell, Peer Reviewed, and Elite Lawyer honors, reflecting consistent standards of legal ability and ethical practice throughout the state.
Evan Hoffman continues to focus on defending constitutional rights for individuals accused of crimes throughout Florida. His experience across trials, investigations, and appeals allows him to guide clients through difficult legal situations. He remains committed to fairness, careful advocacy, and results-driven representation at every stage of a case.
