Eryk Wachnik

Eryk Wachnik is the founder of Wachnik Law LLC in Des Plaines and focuses on traffic and DUI defense, criminal defense, personal injury, and workers’ compensation matters. His criminal practice includes drug possession, drug trafficking, weapons offenses, domestic violence, violent crimes, misdemeanors, and expungement or sealing issues. Eryk earned B.A./B.S. degrees from Loyola University Chicago and a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Eryk previously served as an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. He prosecuted thousands of felony narcotics and gun cases, DUI and traffic matters, and misdemeanors, and tried hundreds of cases in Chicago and suburban Cook County. He has handled high-stakes personal injury litigation, including taking and defending depositions, litigating arbitrations, and arguing motions in contested injury cases.
