Erik F. Hansen is the managing partner at Burns & Hansen, focusing on complex civil litigation, appellate advocacy, and business transactions. With over 20 years of experience, he has litigated multi-million dollar disputes in state and federal courts across Minnesota and the U.S.. He has successfully argued over 80 cases before appellate courts, earning national recognition for his strategic litigation and advocacy.

Erik earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2000 after completing his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and European Studies at the University of Minnesota-Morris in 1997. He has a distinguished career handling cases involving business disputes, real estate law, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and corporate governance. He advises corporations on asset acquisitions, risk mitigation, and ownership transitions, ensuring seamless business operations.

As a recognized leader in appellate law, Erik served as Chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Appellate Law Section.
