Erick Widman

Erick Widman is the founder and managing attorney of Passage Immigration Law, where he helps clients navigate the complexities of U.S. immigration law. His practice covers family-based immigration, business visas, citizenship, removal defense, and immigration delay litigation for clients across the U.S. and internationally.

Erick earned his law degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law after completing his undergraduate studies at UCLA. Prior to founding his firm in 2007, he served as in-house counsel at Philips Corporation, managing international and immigration legal issues. He also taught international law at the Budapest College of Economics and clerked for a Superior Court judge.

With over 20 years of legal experience, Erick is licensed to practice in Oregon, Washington, and California. Because immigration law is a federal practice area, he serves clients in all 50 states and globally. He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), staying current on evolving immigration policies and legal strategies.

Erick’s personal experience with the immigration process—through his Hungarian spouse—gives him a unique understanding of the emotional and legal challenges his clients face. He combines legal skill with empathy, ensuring clients feel supported from consultation to resolution.
