Eric Kallio

Eric Kallio is the founder of Kallio Law Firm, LLC, in Prairieville, Louisiana. He concentrates his practice in business law, estate planning, wills and successions, tax law, and aviation law. He is admitted to practice before the State Bars of Louisiana and Colorado, the U.S. Tax Court, the Federal Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans’ Claims. He is also a VA Accredited Attorney. Clients benefit from his rare combination of military discipline, advanced academic credentials, and deep technical expertise across multiple fields.

Mr. Kallio earned his J.D., cum laude, from Southern University Law Center, where he also received a certificate in tax law. He holds an LL.M. in Estate Planning and Elder Law from Western New England University School of Law and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Northcentral University. He also earned an M.A.S. in Aviation Management and a B.S. in Aeronautical Science, both from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Mr. Kallio’s academic foundation spans law, taxation, aviation, and business, giving him a comprehensive perspective that few attorneys can match. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Lawyer Pilot Bar Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Experimental Aircraft Association, and the Aviation Lawyers Association.

Eric Kallio served nearly 23 years in the military, beginning as a medic before earning his wings as a helicopter pilot and completing multiple overseas deployments. He flew relief missions following Hurricane Katrina, reflecting the commitment to service that has defined his life and career. He has also served as an expert witness in aviation-related legal matters. Outside the office, he volunteers his aircraft to transport rescue animals and provides pro bono legal services to underserved individuals.
