Eric Hayhurst

Eric Hayhurst is the founder of Hayhurst Law PLLC and represents clients from the firm’s Westover, West Virginia office. His practice focuses on personal injury, including car and truck accidents, medical malpractice, catastrophic injuries, workplace injuries, premises liability, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, and wrongful death. He also handles employment-law and criminal-defense matters. Since founding the firm in 2017, he has emphasized direct attorney involvement and representation for people facing serious legal and financial consequences.

Eric earned a B.A. in Political Science from West Virginia University and a J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law. In law school, he served on the Moot Court Board, received CALI Awards, and graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. He is admitted in West Virginia and Pennsylvania and before the US District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia.

Eric has represented seriously injured people for more than a decade and has recovered millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for plaintiff personal injury clients. His injury practice includes birth injuries, car crashes, catastrophic injuries, dog bites, medical malpractice, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, premises liability, trucking accidents, workplace injuries, and wrongful death. He also represents clients in criminal-defense and employment-law matters, giving his practice additional experience with contested claims and courtroom advocacy.

Eric Hayhurst holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is a permanent member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He has received recognition from Super Lawyers and the National Trial Lawyers and has held leadership roles in the West Virginia State Bar’s Young Lawyers Section and the Monongalia County Bar Association. His practice combines trial readiness, direct client contact, and a primary focus on helping injured people pursue compensation for serious harm caused by others.
