About
Eric F. Nelson is a skilled litigation attorney who represents clients in civil and commercial disputes, employment matters, and real estate law. He also serves as prosecuting attorney for over 30 professional licensing agencies, advising on regulatory compliance and enforcement. Since joining his firm in 2010, he has developed a practice that emphasizes municipality and public entity defense as well as complex civil rights litigation.
Mr. Nelson earned his J.D., cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law in 2007. During law school, he served on the Law Review, Moot Court, and Mock Trial teams, achieving national recognition in competitions. He also completed a two-year clerkship for the Honorable John A. Manglona of the Supreme Court of the Northern Mariana Islands. He received his B.S. in Journalism, cum laude, from Brigham Young University–Idaho in 2004.
Throughout his career, Mr. Nelson has successfully prosecuted and defended dozens of professional licensees, negotiated hundreds of settlement agreements, and argued cases before state and federal courts, including the Idaho Supreme Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. His work includes litigating civil rights claims involving constitutional issues, wrongful termination, retaliation, and First Amendment protections. He has also defended employers before the Idaho Human Rights Commission and EEOC against claims of discrimination and harassment.
In addition to his practice, Eric F. Nelson volunteers as an attorney for Family Advocates in the Court Appointed Guardian ad Litem Program. His dedication to both professional and public service reflects his commitment to delivering high-quality advocacy and advancing justice across Idaho.
