Emily Sullivan

Emily Sullivan is an experienced estate planning lawyer and mediator at Heritage Law LLP in Leawood, Kansas. Emily earned her B.A. in Psychology and Economics from Tufts University in 2000. During her undergraduate studies, she also participated in a study abroad program on the Gold Coast, Australia in 1999. She later obtained her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2003. Her educational background combines legal knowledge with an understanding of human behavior and decision-making, which supports her work in estate planning and conflict resolution.

Emily began her legal career as an Associate at Heidell, Pittoni, Murphy & Bach in New York City. She then continued her practice at Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 2007, she joined Shook, Hardy & Bacon, where she advanced to become a Partner and Attorney. After years of litigation experience, she founded Heritage Law LLC and later co-founded PEAK Litigation LLP. In 2021, she became the Founding Partner of Heritage Law LLP, where she continues to lead the firm’s estate planning and mediation practice.

Emily Sullivan has helped clients protect their assets, plan for the future, and resolve disputes efficiently throughout her career. As a Missouri Rule 17 approved mediator and an attorney licensed in Missouri, Kansas, Wisconsin, Florida, New York, and California, she brings broad legal knowledge to her practice.
