Emily Rouse

Emily Rouse is an Associate Attorney whose practice centers on all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, support, parental rights, and property division. She also provides services in estate planning, helping individuals and families secure their futures with thoughtful legal guidance.

Emily earned her Juris Doctor in 2017 from Drake University Law School, where she was recognized as a Public Service Scholar. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Central College and an Associate of Arts degree from Iowa Lakes Community College, laying the foundation for her clear and effective communication as a legal advocate.

Emily is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and North Dakota and holds inactive status with the Iowa Bar. She is a Qualified Neutral in both Minnesota and North Dakota and is also a certified Parenting Coordinator in North Dakota, bringing additional depth to her family law practice.

Before joining the firm, Emily worked as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Michael D. Fritz in Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District. That experience strengthened her understanding of courtroom procedure and judicial expectations, informing her current client-centered approach to litigation and dispute resolution.

Emily is an active member of the State Bar Associations of North Dakota and Minnesota, as well as the Cass County and Clay County Bar Associations. She previously served as Chair of the Family Law Section for the State Bar Association of North Dakota and currently chairs the Social Committee for the Young Professionals Network.
