About
Emily A. White is Director of the Immigration Department and represents organizations, companies, and individuals in a wide range of immigration matters. She focuses on employment- and family-based immigration, helping clients navigate complex visa processes and develop long-term immigration strategies.
Emily earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2007 and her M.S.W. from the University of Denver School of Social Work in 2005. She received her B.A. in Philosophy and Art History from Goucher College in 2002.
Emily’s employment-based immigration practice includes Conrad 30 waivers for physicians, H-1B visas, E-2 visas, L visas, National Interest Waiver petitions (EB-2), and Professional Labor Certifications (PERM). She also assists with ancillary and derivative petitions and guides families through family-based green card processes.
Emily has litigated a broad range of matters before the Immigration Court and higher courts. She enjoys mentoring attorneys in complex immigration cases. She is active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the National Association of Foreign Student Advisors and is fluent in Spanish.
Before joining Orr & Reno, Emily practiced with an immigration law group in Manchester, New Hampshire. She also practiced exclusively in immigration law for a decade in Colorado, where she was named a top immigration lawyer by 5280 Magazine in Denver.
Emily A. White’s professional involvement includes service with the American Immigration Lawyers Association, including as Past-Chair of its Liaison Committee with the Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement. She is admitted in New Hampshire and Colorado, and before the U.S. District Court and U.S. Court of Appeals in both circuits.
