He serves as Managing Director and works with a team focused on probate, trust, estate, and guardianship litigation matters throughout North Texas.
Elliott studied at the American University of Paris before earning his B.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. He later received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas. His academic background supports a practice centered on probate, estate planning, and fiduciary disputes. He also earned an American Jurisprudence Award while in law school, reflecting early recognition for legal achievement during his legal education.
Elliott has presented and written on probate, estate planning, powers of attorney, and fiduciary litigation for legal and professional audiences. His speaking work has included programs for the Dallas Bar Association, National Business Institute, State Bar of Texas, Collin County Probate Bar Association, and University of Texas School of Law continuing education. He has also addressed estate planning and liability topics for business, caregiving, and government audiences throughout the US.
Elliott Burdette has held leadership roles in Dallas Bar Association sections and committees and served seven years on a State Bar of Texas subcommittee addressing unauthorized practice of law. He has held an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell since 1994 and became a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation in 2006. His practice remains focused on strategic counsel, inheritance rights, probate disputes, and estate-related litigation for clients across Texas.
